Its all a moot point anyway because I was looking into the guts of my PC and found that I don't have anything in my PCI slots, so I was adding nonexistant hardware. I've tried to locate the driver online and I don't think I can find it. Autodetecting the driver doesn't work either. One problem down at least.)ĮDIT: Okay its not working. (Had to do it because it turns out it got to a point where my registry was so messed up that it wouldn't even start. And theres still no sound so I am a bit suspicious.
#Fl studio 12 asio no sound install
I just did a clean install of Windows Vista (yes I had to go that far). I will install drivers for the "sound card" not the "High definition audio" device. Is there a way to default my sound card in the BIOs? Anyways I need help.Īlso just updating this: I did some research and the driver I downloaded has done something to my sound card, or modified it. but I doubt this is the work of a virus (its probably because I edited my registry earlier to fix a separate issue, and the sound worked after I did that).

Also many or not be related but my Symantec Endpoint protection is malfunctioning, so I'm reinstalling that. Like I mentioned the hardware is all fine but this is some sort of deep seat driver issue. Not only did I get no sound in FL Studio 10, but when I exited the program after booting up the ASIO4ALL driver control panel - my sound no longer works. Supposed to make everything sound better. Speakers were working fine before I installed FL Studio 10 with a driver component to it called the ASIO4ALL driver. Did a system restore to a point before the issue began, that didn't work. Disabled, enabled speaker in playback devices, didn't work. Tried automatically detecting drivers with "Add Hardware" wizard. Uninstalled and reinstalled "High Definition Audio Device" drivers in device manager. Tested different speakers to see if it was a speaker issue, but it wasn't I've tried a couple things to fix the issue. A couple hours ago my speakers stopped producing sound.
